Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 packs slide-out compartment for front camera. Xiaomi has officially announced the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, the latest addition to the company’s flagship phone line. On Thursday in Beijing at the Forbidden City, the Chinese company revealed that its upcoming smartphone Mi Mix 3 has a magnetic slide-out compartment for the front-facing camera. It also introduced other pretty high-end specs of the phone.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, the Mi Mix 3 has two front-facing cameras. The main one has 24 megapixels resolution that uses a Sony IMX576 sensor to enhance its low-light performance, while the relatively-low 2 MP secondary sensor is dedicated to sharp-sensing. The dual 12-MP cameras have the capability to record 4K video and super slow-motion at 960 frames per second.
The flagship comes with a 6.39-inch display with a 2,340 x 1,080-pixel resolution. It contains a screen-to-body ratio of 93.4 percent, offering larger size than the iPhone XS Max and Samsung Galaxy S9+ as both have just ratio of 84 percent.
The Mi Mix 3 will be available in three variants: Sapphire Blue, Jade Green, and Onyx Black. You’ll be pleased to hear that the Xiaomi is offering a wireless charger with the Mix 3.
The model comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage for RMB3, 299. The top end model has the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage space.
The phones will go on sale initially in China on November 1. The company has not revealed the release date of the device for other parts of the world.
